FCS offers adventures in Science and Art sessions this summer from June 22rd through July 31st, 2009.
Sports and Recreation Camps will run from June 15th-19th, and August 3rd through 14th with LaCrosse, Socccer, Recreation and Field Sports including Olympic-type field events.
Camp hours are 9:00am - 3:00pm. Before and after hours are 8:00am - 9:00am and 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Camp programs are designed for grades K-8.
The Science Camp utilizes hands-on experiments in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Ecology, Geology, and Geography. Our science educators and guest scientists provide age-appropriate, safe activities, to develop critical thinking skills while having fun with science.
The Art Camp encourages campers to see art-making as a process of close observation, expressive experimentation, and careful craftsmanship. Young artists explore a variety of media and techniques, and discover connections between visual art and other subjects.
Sports Camps are for recreational players who want to learn or build skills. The camps focus on all skill levels, including beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Experienced coaches will teach ballhandling skills, positions, strategies, and positive team dynamics on our new field. Campers build skills in an environment that fosters initiative, self-esteem, sense of fair play, and sportsmanship.
The Sports Camps also will include well-planned Recreational activities. Arts, creative movement, crafts, swimming, etc., ensure a balance of fun activities for all.
A Counselor-in-Training program is available for a limited number of students entering high school and older.
