We accept applications during the fall of the year preceding desired entry. Our application for 2025-26 entry is now available. Visit the Apply to FCS page for further instructions.  

Though our application deadline for 2024-25 admission has passed, FCS continues to accept applications for select grades as space is available. Please contact the Admissions Office directly or submit an Inquiry Form for a status update before proceeding with an application.

On-Campus Open Houses

FCS hosts a series of Open Houses each year. In keeping with the spirit of FCS, our Open Houses are truly “open”, welcoming events, and the best way to learn more about our school—from FCS students, parents, teachers, and administrators. We look forward to seeing you on campus!

All Open Houses are open to parents/guardians/caregivers interested in applying to Grades K - 8. Registration is now open for select events; registration for additional events will open later this fall.

Friends Community School is located just off Kenilworth Avenue in College Park, Maryland at 5901 Westchester Park Drive. See our Contact Us page for common paths to campus.

Our green building and campus sit on 17 acres adjacent to Greenbelt National Park. FCS is convenient to families in DC, Prince George's County, Montgomery County and beyond, drawing students from Capitol Hill, nearby DC, Cheverly, Bowie, Mitchellville, Upper Marlboro, Takoma Park, Silver Spring, Beltsville, Laurel, and nearby Glenn Dale, Greenbelt, Berwyn Heights, College Park, University Park, Riverdale Park, and Hyattsville.
