"The most important thing I learned at FCS was how to be patient with others, and how to listen and learn from different experiences."

The most important thing I learned at FCS was how to be patient with others, and how to listen and learn from different experiences. I learned it when I got to spend each
Wednesday at Meeting for Worship and I got to listen to other people's messages. I also learned compassion and peace-making from the implementation of Quaker values throughout my nine years at FCS.

I am really excited about working on my honors thesis in sociology at Guilford College.

The teacher at FCS who had the greatest impact on the person I am today is Gerry because throughout my time at FCS (and afterwards!), Gerry continuously supported my academic and social endeavors and really taught me how to love learning.

The thing that concerns me most about the world today is how our societal norms continue to perpetuate systematic oppression of marginalized people.

I couldn't be where I am today without my family--they've done so much for me and helped shape me into the person I am today.

When I’m not at work or school, you’ll most likely find me watching The X-Files.

If I could give one piece of advice to my 12-year-old self, it would be to spend less time thinking about how others perceive me and to spend more time focusing on what makes me happy and what makes me grow as a person.
