After the school day is over, FCS offers a range of childcare and activities for families under the care of Auxiliary Programs. Registration for these programs are done on Ultracamp, our Auxiliary Programs platform which also manages Summer Camp programs.
FCS’s
Extended Day (Ex-Day), is our general childcare program is a supervised period for students to run around outside in mixed grade level groups, play games, do arts and crafts, and generally be kids. There are also opportunities for older students to work on homework with adult support. Registration for this program is done on a monthly basis.
Each semester, FCS offers a diverse array of
Afterschool Enrichment Activities for students in grades K through 8 in subjects ranging from Ultimate Frisbee to role-playing games. These activities operate on a weekly basis and are taught by FCS teachers and community members with available options shared with families early each semester.
FCS offers an Afterschool Instrumental Music Program for students in grades 2 through 8. These programs are structured for students to continue their music education through different instruments: Brass, Drums, Guitar, Piano, Ukulele, Voice and Woodwinds.
In the fall and spring semesters, FCS also offers an Afterschool Intramural Program for grades 2-4 and 5-8. The Lower School section explores different activities and sports that focuses on developing fundamental sports skills, agility, balance, and teamwork. The Middle School section incorporates our school Ultimate Frisbee team (Friends Fire), as they practice not only their physical skills, but their collaboration and conflict-resolution skills through self-officiating.
