How Annual Giving Supports FCS

All contributions to the Friends Community School Annual Giving Campaign sustain the excellence of the school and the student experience. Together, these gifts enable FCS to make bold and meaningful commitments to our students and faculty; a commitment that we simply couldn't fulfill through tuition revenue alone. Gifts to the Annual Giving Campaign address the school’s greatest needs in any given year and ensure its future success.

Like most independent schools, FCS fosters a philanthropic culture within its community of parents, families, and alumni. We strive to provide adequate financial aid, personalized attention for each student, and access to talented and devoted educators.
Philanthropic contributions are vital for maintaining low student-teacher ratios, providing quality advising, and supporting faculty and curriculum development. They also fund advanced technology, enrich arts and music programs, and provide seed money to establish wished-for programs like athletics.

Annual Giving plays a key role at the school. It is not just a contribution, but an investment in the transformative nature of an FCS education. The school counts on collective gifts from parents, alumni, and friends to support this campaign, which directly enhances the educational experience of our students enabling them to develop the skills necessary to lifelong learners, courageous risk-takers and joyous peacemakers.
