Volunteer at FCS

Friends In Action

Welcome to the Friends Community School Parent Volunteer Program, "Friends in Action," inspired by our Quaker values.

As a K-8 Quaker Progressive school, we deeply value the involvement of our parents in all of our efforts to make FCS the community school that it is. Your participation not only enriches the school experience for our students but also strengthens our FCS community and we appreciate any time you can contribute.

Program Goals

  • Support School Events: Provide essential staffing for school events to ensure their success.
  • Build Community: Foster a sense of belonging and engagement among parents, students, and staff.
  • Enhance Student Experience: Offer additional resources and support to enhance the educational experience for our students.

How To Get Involved

Sign Up:
Email the Advancement Team or complete the volunteer interest form, which will be available by the start of school, on our Friends in Action Volunteer portal page.

Training:  Attend a brief training session on your role and responsibilities as a volunteer. This is required for all volunteers who do anything with the students at FCS. Our Volunteer coordinators will conduct several training sessions throughout the year to ensure there are multiple opportunities to receive the training and be cleared. We cannot offer these training sessions on demand and you will not be able to volunteer in any capacity without completing this training.

Communication:  Stay informed through our volunteer newsletter and emails.
