Confer Music & Arts
The Confer Music and Art Fund was established by Harold B. and June Confer, two of the founders of FCS, in their names and the name of Harold's father, Harold S. Confer. Both an operating fund and an endowment, one half of every gift is made available for immediate teaching needs, and one half deposited into an endowment to earn interest in perpetuity, creating a long-term investment in FCS music and arts programs.
The funds have purchased violins, violas, cellos, and other instruments; obtained music and risers for the choir; brought musicians and artists to the school to perform; and provided vocal lessons for students who otherwise could not afford to pursue their talents.
